Barrels racing is an intense and demanding event that demands excellent physical conditioning from both horse and rider. To participate effectively, horses must be agile, quick-witted and have great endurance and speed; riders must possess good balance as they navigate their mount through an obstacle-filled course.
Barrel Racing is the main professional rodeo sport for women and is co-sanctioned with the PRCA to allow women to participate in rodeo events. This event has become increasingly popular across both America and Canada.
